Pu'uhonua Framework

Pūʻā Foundation

The Project

The Pūʻā Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on reducing the number of native Hawaiian women incarcerated in Hawaii. They approached MPM to create an infographic that explains the complexities of their Pu’uhonua System of Care in order to educate potential donors, volunteers, community leaders, and government officials.

The Impact

The comprehensive infographic was distributed on the Pūʻā Foundation's website, shared as part of a Powerpoint presentation, and made into a brochure for volunteers. The Foundation is considered a leader in their field and has received national attention for their unique approach to reducing recidivism.
