Ending Homelessness Together

Institute for Human Services

The Project

The Institute for Human Services, the largest homeless service provider in Hawaii, wanted to update the look and feel of their online and print communications in order to better reflect their mission as an innovative multiservice center.

The Impact

MPM created and implemented an updated style guide across all of IHS’ print and digital media, producing an impactful and recognizable look and feel for the brand. In order to appeal to new and current donors, we combined targeted messaging with engaging photos of IHS clients and staff, increasing donations by 20% in three months.

IHS’s new style guide was implemented on their redesigned website, creating a welcoming, hopeful, and trustworthy look and feel for the brand. Style elements were also applied to print collateral, which work together with the website to create a consistent and immediately recognizable visual identity.

Ending Homelessness Together

IHS’ annual report highlights solutions to Oahu’s homeless crisis and tells the stories of individuals who have benefited from the organization's services. Once without shelter and basic needs, these individuals are now productive and successful members of the community. In a time when homelessness is constantly in the news, this report seeks to humanize the story and provide hope to those who may be in a similar situation.

We believe everyone has a right to and responsibility for safe, decent, and affordable housing.
